The Italian Space Agency has a strong heritage in the nano-satellite field and in the last years has significantly invested in the development of enabling technologies for state of the art nano-satellite missions in different fields of application. Four missions have been launched last year, ARGOMOON, LICIACUBE, GREENCUBE, ASTROBIOLAB, while this year the launch of the first mission of the IPERDRONE in-orbit service program is foreseen. The first two mentioned missions are the result of an important international collaboration with NASA and have already successfully flown on-board of two historic missions: the first mission of the ARTEMIS program, targeting to get back the man on the Moon, and the first ever planetary defence mission called DART.
