From Galileo’s telescope to the conquer of space with the launch, in 1957, of the Sputnik, the first man-made object to reach Earth orbit. In the following decades, the launch into space of probes and satellites allowed to explore our planetary system up to its extreme borders and to study deep space as telescopes from Earth would have never been able to do.
