The APRE is a non-profit association acting in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR). 

The association aims at providing to its associates, as well as public and private bodies and individuals, information, support and help in regard to the Italian participation in the programme and the partnership initiatives at national and European level in the field of research and development, technological innovation and transfer of results.

The ASI has been an ordinary member of the APRE since 2015.
