Women in Aerospace Europe (WIA-Europe) was founded in 2009 by Simonetta Di Pippo (Director UNOOSA) and Claudia Kessler (Executive Officer of HE Space) with the specific goal to support and promote the leadership capabilities and visibility of women in the European aerospace community, following the model of the American WIA.
