This panel shows a visible and infrared channels elaboration of a PRISMA acquisition

20 January 2023

This panel shows a visible and infrared channels elaboration of a PRISMA acquisition made during November 2020 over the city of Lagos, Nigeria.

The city is the largest in the country with a growing population of more than 15 million people as of 2022, thanks to its important economic role for the country and the whole continent.  Near the centre of the image the port area in the Lagos lagoon can be seen, covering large portions of the coastal islands. The image in the infrared highlights many channels used for navigation along the coasts, as they appear darker in the image.
