This PRISMA acquisition taken in April 2021 covers the urban area of Busan, the second most populous city in South Korea. A red, green and blue composite is shown in the left part of the image, while the right portion reports an elaboration of the infrared channel.
Busan is a major maritime hub, with many exchange routes with the Eurasian continent, located at the mouth of Nakdonggang River, the longest in South Korea. The city also hosts many research centres and universities, and there are plans for building a sustainable floating city in its coastal waters to mitigate the effects of rising sea levels.
