Promotion of products and services

National Aerospace Plan 2006-2008 has highlighted the importance of the following themes: Environment, Telecommunication, Transport, Health, Observation of the Universe. Within these areas national programs, as well as programs of international cooperation, have been chosen.

The Marketing Unit's primary scope is to identify the necessary instruments to promote technologies, products as well as services are already developed within ASI. Furthermore, the Unit is aiming, through the necessary knowledge of the national and international market, at defining space technologies developed by ASI which may also be marketed in synergy with producing companies.

ASI has already carried out many marketing initiatives of technologies developed within its contracts, adapting them both to the request of the space market and of markets not exactly belonging to space. Pertinent agreements with companies foresee a benefit for ASI for an amount equivalent to a specific share of the sold products turnover.

Particularly interesting are marketing activities of the COSMO-SkyMed program, which foresee the development of national and international programs for the data supply, as well as of products, which will be acquired by this constellation. The definition of a market shares acquisition policy, within applications utilizing satellite systems of Earth Observation, also plays a key role.
