The MapItaly Plan is a systematic acquisition plan using the Stripmap HIMAGE mode (Tile 40 x 40 km) over the Italian territory, carried out by the satellites of the COSMO-SkyMed constellation.
To facilitate quicker and easier access for national users to the data acquired over the Italian territory, the MapItaly Portal has been developed. This portal provides direct access to the archive of images collected over the years as part of the MapItaly acquisition plan.
The MapItaly Portal complements the First and Second Generation COSMO-SkyMed Portal.
In order to access the MapItaly Portal, national users must have an active project sheet on the COSMO-SkyMed Portal.
To assist users in navigating the new COSMO-SkyMed portal, a User Manual and a continuously updated list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) have been made available.
The MapItaly Portal also offers APIs for machine-to-machine data access. These APIs enable programmatic search and download of data through various protocols.
