The NASA site seen by the ASI hyperspectral satellite

10 November 2023

This composition shows the Cape Canaveral base area in Florida, United States. The processing is carried out in the visible and short-wave infrared bands.

The Kennedy Space Center site was chosen for its relative proximity to the equator and the Atlantic Ocean, which allowed launch tests to be carried out in safety. From the infrared image you can observe the contrast between the bodies of water and the buildings at the base. Historic missions such as those of the Apollo program were achieved thanks to the infrastructure of the Space Center.
