The latest edition has recorded a marked increase in companies becoming listed.

The 2021-2022 edition of the catalog, "Italian Space Industry 2021-2022", was produced by the Italian Space Agency ,and the Italian Trade Promotion Agency (ICE), in partnership with the national associations AIAD, AIPAS, and ASAS.

Updated annually and now in its fifth edition, the Catalog is meant to enhance the visibility of Italy's space industrial system to improve cooperation at the international level, and increase trade promotion and the sector's exports. The Catalog provides a daily working tool for domestic and foreign professionals engaged in various application domains. To this end, the Catalogue will be used at major trade fairs and scientific-technological events in the sector, as well as during international and national events. The Italian Trade Promotion Agency (ICE) plans to print a limited number of copies for purely institutional purposes and for Italian Embassies in countries with space-related activities.

The 2021-2022 edition features 153 companies, including 21 large enterprises, 105 SMEs, and 21 start-ups. The number of entries in the catalog has been growing steadily over the years. This year, there is a notable increase in the participation of start-ups, reflecting the growing dynamism of the sector. Also noteworthy is a new section dedicated to national technological districts.

Another strong feature of this year's edition is an interactive online platform called "Italianspaceindustry.it," which is accessible through the following link  http://italianspaceindustry.it/. The development of this digital tool must be seen as yet another element in the broader action launched to support Export and Internationalization, as solicited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI) and initiated by the Italian Space Agency (ASI), also in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and the Industrial Associations. The platform's content will be published by the end of 2021.

This initiative complements the ASI V.D. tool (Virtual District Web Portal 2.0). In this regard, the sector's companies are reminded to promptly update/enter their data on the Virtual District, containing details of their main economic-technological-productive indicators.
