The ASI DAMA mission takes off aboard the Endeavour Shuttle on May 16th, 2011. Aboard the shuttle are the Italian AMS-02 instrument and six payloads that are part of the joint ASI-Air Force programme, started in the framework of the cooperation agreement in the human space flight sector. The ESA astronaut Roberto Vittori participates in the mission, which is the second to last Shuttle mission.
