Today's Board of Directors has passed a resolution for the appointment of ASI's new top administrator

Luca Vincenzo Maria Salamone will be the Italian Space Agency's new General Director for the next four years.

The Board of Directors of the Italian Space Agency met today at the Agency's Space Center in Matera, where a resolution was passed appointing Luca Vincenzo Maria Salamone as ASI's new General Director.  He will succeed Fabrizio Tosone, and will take office next November.

Born in Catania in 1972, Salamone graduated in Law and Political Science. He is a State manager and currently serves as the Coordinator of the Sea Policies Unit at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. A former senior naval officer, he has held numerous positions in public administrations and various ministerial offices.
