The image on the left is obtained from visible bands, while the one on the right is from shortwave infrared.\u00a0This desert is one of the oldest and driest in the world and extends for approximately 2000 kilometers along the Atlantic coast of southern Africa. This area is particularly remote and difficult for navigation due to strong currents.
