Today, in the context of the 73<sup>rd<\/sup> IAC, <strong>International Astronautical Congress<\/strong>, which is currently taking place in Paris, an implementation agreement has been signed between the <strong>Italian Space Agency<\/strong> (ASI) and the German Space Agency <strong>Deutsches Zentrum f\u00fcr Luft und Raumfahrt<\/strong>\u00a0(DLR), represented respectively by the president of the ASI, <strong>Giorgio Saccoccia<\/strong>, and the director of the German Space Agency (DLR), <strong>Walther Pelzer<\/strong>. The agreement between the two agencies follows the framework partnership agreement in the field of space activities, signed by the parties in 2007.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The goal of the agreement is to share hyperspectral data and the strategies, methods and results of the Earth observation hyperspectral missions <strong>PRISMA<\/strong> (Hyperspectral Precursor of the Application), funded by the ASI, and <strong>EnMAP (Environmental Mapping and Analysis Program), funded by the DLR. <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the context of the agreement, the agencies commit to provide visibility on the activities and results in the field of Earth observation applications based on hyperspectral data, and to support the joint organization and participation in workshops, educational and informative events to increase the knowledge of the capabilities of the PRISMA and EnMAP missions.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Therefore, the partnership between the ASI and the DLR will allow to strengthen the synergies between the two missions, by performing communal tasks to support the evolution of the hyperspectral space imaging technologies.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The agreement between the parties will be valid for a period of <strong>eight years<\/strong>, until December 31<sup>st<\/sup>, 2030, or until the end of both missions or the end of the technical activities, but it will be possible to extend or amend it by exchange of letters between the parties.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The agreement has been signed the president of the Italian Space Agency, Giorgio Saccoccia, and the director of the German Space Agency (DLR), Walther Pelzer<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":34483,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[60],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-34969","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-press-release"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.9 (Yoast SEO v25.9) -
