Rosetta exhibition

Faenza, from 14 February to 1 March

The Rosetta mission and Philae’s historic landing on the comet 67P Churyumov-Gerasimenko’s surface will be the main themes for an exhibition that will be held in Faenza, at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni (Corso Mazzini, 92).

The initiative is the outcome of the cooperation between the Italian Space Agency and the Casa Museo “Raffaele Bendandi”.

The exhibition is open from 14 February to 1 March 2015. The entrance is for free. Opening hours: from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm (morning only on Thursday and Saturday).

The exhibition path consists of 25 display panels, 16 dedicated to the Rosetta mission and 9 to the other comets discovered in the past. Rosetta, Philae and GIADA (an instrument on Rosetta) scale models will be displayed too.

An opening event will take place on 14 February 2015 at 4.30 pm. The Italian Space Agency will be represented by Angelo Zinzi, Solar System Exploration Project Coordinator at ASI Science Data Center
