IAC 2017

Adelaide, from 25 to 29 September

The 68th IAC (International Astronautical Congress), one of the most awaited space events in the year, is going to be held in Adelaide (Australia) between 25 and 29 September 2017 at the Adelaide Convention Centre. “Unlocking Imagination, Fostering Innovation and  Strengthening Security” is the main congress theme.

As usual, a week full of activities defines the Congress. Its program consists of conferences, workshops, plenary and technical sessions and an exhibition. Space agencies and institutions, aerospace industries and SMEs take part in this exhibition, also open to the large public.

During the IAC, scientists, managers and stakeholders have the opportunity to have a confrontation on space field perspectives. The Italian Space Agency also attends the exhibition with its institutional stand. A global networking forum, promoted by ASI, is particularly significant: it is focused on “Deep space exploration post 2024 scenarios” and it is going to be held on 27 September. Top managers from ESA and other space agencies and institutions (among them, ASI President Roberto Battiston) are expected to take part in this event.
