Ramon International Space Conference

The event in Tel Aviv from 29th to 31st January 2013

To honour the memory of the crew of the STS-107 Mission and in particular, the first Israeli astronaut, Ilan Ramon, the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology, the Fisher Institute for Air and Space Strategic Studies and the Israeli Space Agency (ISA) organize an annual conference on space research. The next and eighth edition of the event will be held in Tel Aviv from 29th to 31st January 2013.

Some of the main topics that will be discussed during the conference concern the international cooperation, exploration, security, strategies and space policies, the involvement of the industry and the economic aspects of space.

The three-day event in Tel Aviv awaits an international audience including among the speakers industry dignitaries of excellence, such as leaders of the major space agencies.

The event will also be attended by the Italian Space Agency, which in particular has a working relationship with ISA for the Shalom program. Launched in July 2010, Shalom contemplates the construction of two satellites with joint technology in Hyperspectral Earth Observation.
