Planck Conference

1 - 5 December - Ferrara, Palazzo Costabili

Palazzo Costabili, located in Ferrara, will host from 1 to 5 December 2014 the international conference "The microwave sky in temperature and polarization", that will be particularly focused on Planck mission results

The event, which will involve more than two hundred astrophysicists and cosmologists from all over the world, will be introduced by a press conference held at the University Institute for Higher Studies (Room 1) on 1 December

The Planck scientific team will take part in the press conference that will be dedicated to the presentation of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) first maps realized by Planck space telescope.

The Italian Space Agency will be represented by Enrico Costa (Board of Directors member) and Elisabetta Tommasi (Universe Exploration and Observation Unit).

Planck mission's objective was to measure the CMB with high precision and accuracy in order to improve our knowledge on Universe origins and evolution. The mission ended in 2013.
