European Space Policy conference

ASI headquarters, 5 June

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), in cooperation with the Italian Space Agency, organizes “European space policy: are we on the right tracks?” a conference whose aim is to discuss current and future legislative actions in this field.

The conference will be held in Rome, on 5 June 2015, at the ASI Headquarters, at 9.30 a.m.

The event will gather representatives from industry, businesses, national and European authorities and will be opened by Roberto Battiston (ASI President) and Edgardo Maria Iozia (EESC, “Space and Society” project coordinator).

“Space and Society” aims at helping to generate support for current and future space programmes on both EU and national levels, bringing the attention of a larger audience and downstream stakeholders.

The conference agenda includes two sessions, “Strategic vision of the Italian space policy” and “Better space programming at European level”. Representatives from some European institutions (such as European Commission, ESA, Eurisy, EARSC and GSA) are expected to give presentations during the event.
