Torino, 4th July 2014

BepiColombo, Europe’s satellite for Mecrcury exploration, has finished its tests at Thales Alenia Space laboratories.

An event, which will be held in Torino on 4th July 2014, will celebrate the achievement of this milestone.

Then, BepiColombo will be sent to the ESA-ESTEC Centre in Noordwijk for launch tests. The satellite will be launched in 2016.

BepiColombo is a joint mission between ESA and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

The Italian participation to the mission is very significant and on a national scale: the Italian Space Agency and the scientific community will realize 4 experiments.
