ASi at the "European Researchers Night"

Appointment on September 28, 2012 in Frascati

The event promoted by the European Commission and dedicated to talks and meetings between the scientific community and the general public is now in its seventh edition.

Founded in 2005, every year the European Researchers Night involves thousands of researchers and research institutions in all European countries and aims to fetchingly disseminate scientific culture and the potential that research professions can offer.

The events, which this year include 7 projects carried out in 24 Italian cities, includes performances, workshops, exhibitions, experiments, guided tours, lectures and observations and are open to a wide audience of all ages, from the hardcore to the merely curious.

Frascati and Rome in Lazio will host the event with a series of initiatives that will allow the public to become familiar with the research environment and find out how fundamentally important it is in our daily lives.

This edition of the European Researchers Night will be organized by the Frascati Science Association (Associazione Frascati Scienza), together with the most important Italian research bodies and institutes, the three universities in Rome and the Paediatric Hospital “Bambino Gesù”.

Frascati is now a classic location of this event, since relevant research activities at an international level have been present in the city for years. There will also be activities in Rome this year, where some significant locations for scientific research will be accessible to the general public.

The presence of the Italian Space Agency is inevitable, which will participate in the traditional Frascati appointment with a presentation of its activities and an exhibition of satellite models.
