Stellarium is a free "Open Source" planetarium which is also used by planetariums all over the world for didactic video-projections. It was developed in 2001 and is continuously updated. It is fun to use and demonstrates a catalogue of over 210 million stars in 3D.

This easy-to-use programme is available for Linux, Windows and MAC OS x.
