ASI marketing activities

Patenting and technology transfer

ASI's marketing promotes the use of ASI's operational centres and its application and technological products by selecting the right promotional tools and the ranking of supply and demand in order to increase the Agency's returns. With this in mind the following activities are carried out:

• analysis and monitoring of development trends in the Italian and international market;

• classify the Italian portfolio of goods, products, technologies, applications and space services and choose the areas of potential development for the space market and technological transfer;

• selects opportunities for acquiring intellectual property and patents for the Agency from relevant activities and develops them, as well as cooperation with other involved units;

• ensures the diffusion of space knowledge toward potential user pools and toward Italian decision-making centres;

• manages systematic relationships with effective and potential users of operational centres and technological products and space applications;

• promotes the development of synergies and the exchange of information among industries, universities, research centres and financial institutions in order to develop the Italian space market, both supply and demand;

• ensures definition of procedures for monitoring know-how during the course of development of contract activities.
